Our Favorite Time of the Week

So I was going to do a fun blog about the weekends and how they are the best time of the week that we love to spend together....but you only get part of it for now because I thought I had uploaded all of our pictures but I only have the one's from this last weekends and not the two weekends before... so I'll do another post later and things will be a little bit out of order...
Last Sunday, March 15 we decided that we would take advantage of the beautiful weather and head out on some outside adventures....

Eli really wanted to go feed the ducks, so we went to the lake near BYU, but there were too many people there so we decided to head over to Utah Lake.

We went to feed the ducks, but they weren't there so we decided that the rocks would have to be our form of entertainment for the time being.... then it was on to the horses, cows and bulls...

I decided to post these just for fun and to show the difference between me and my adorable husband... when we go on adventures he wants to take pictures of what he says are "GREAT" bulls and I take pictures of the pretty scenery... Apparently someday these animals will be wandering around near my house.... Next we decided to head up to one of Elisha's favorite spots... Bridal Veil Falls. Did you know that they are going to re-build the tram???

Sunday Afternoon Walk to Bridal Veil Falls... we're SOOO excited the weather is starting to warm up!  By this time the weather wasn't so warm so we headed home.. but we really enjoyed our Sunday afternoon adventures and look forward to many more to come!

Picture update

Here are the pictures to go with the update I posted a few weeks ago. We are doing great and loving married life...I just got to be better at taking pictures and posting...

Halloween...

This year was Eli's first time dressing up for halloween so we had some fun at our ward's Halloween dance.

Thanksgiving...

We got to stay home for Thanksgiving and celebrate with Eli's family. Eli's sister, Eridania was here too with her baby Ethan so it was fun to spend time with the family.

Six months...

On October 29, we decided to celebrate six months of knowing each other by visiting the place where we first met, the Jordan River Temple.  I must admit, it must have been meant to be and I sure do love this boy!

Our First Christmas...
We we're very blessed, we got to spend Christmas Eve with Eli's family and then Christmas day we flew to San Diego to spend a few days with my family.  Christmas eve was filled with dancing, food, fun games of Domino for the guys and playing with our nephew Ethan.

Christmas in San Diego was celebrated a few days late, but included lots of fun....

My cute nephew, Porter....

Opening Presents...

Visiting different places in San Diego: Miramar Lake, Karl Strauss Gardens, and of course the BEACH!

New years Eve...

Here's Elida and Emiliano dancing on New years.  Yay! Bring on 2009!

Hope that everyone is doing great! Take care and look out for more 2009 updates....

Randomness

So, I thought I would just put up a random post... I still need to download pics from the camera so those will come soon.  My friend Cami is amazing at blogging and sharing her and her husbands little adventures.. it's inspired me to try to be better... This past week Elisha has been sick and had 12 hour work days with parent-teacher conferences, which are always fun. Eli had a normal week at work.  We spent our weekend mostly in bed as both of us are sick with colds, we decided that next year flu shots will be a must!  We did venture out a bit on Saturday for a drive up Provo Canyon to enjoy the beauty of the snow-covered mountains.  It is so beautiful! I love seeing the whiteness covering the mountains, so peaceful!  Now it's back to Monday and the fabulous week of LOVE.. we'll see what our first Valentines together will bring.... Hope everyone has an awesome week!

Life Update

It's been quite a while since our late posting and I've had some complaints about my lack in blogging so I decided I would do a little update. There's not a lot to report. Since October, we've just been loving married life and having fun with all the little adventures life brings.  I haven't downloaded pictures from the camera yet, so there will be pictures to go with this post in the near future.
Well, the end of October we had fun dressing up for Halloween, Eli had never dressed up before, so that was exciting, we got afro wigs and t-shirts and dressed up as people from the 60s... it was quite entertaining as many people were shocked to see Eli with hair... In November we enjoyed Thanksgiving with Eli's family, his sister Eridania came to live with us for a few weeks, and we enjoyed playing with her little baby, Ethan.
December came with the long awaited Christmas break. We were lucky to celebrate Christmas with both of our families. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Eli's family and lots of our family friends then we flew to San Diego on Christmas Day.  We made it there with just a little delay and enjoyed spending a few days with Elisha's family. We enjoyed dinner, the beach, warm weather, and best of all time with the family, mostly being entertained by Elisha's adorable nephew, Porter.  We even got to spend an extra night in San Diego as our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for the next day.   It was such a WONDERFUL break and a great time to just relax!
We got back to Utah on the 31st just in time to go to our ward New Year's Eve party/dance which lasted until about 3am... althought Elisha only lasted until about 1:30 or so... Well that's about it for 2008.
We are excited for 2009, our first whole year together and excited to see what it brings!  Since the new year it's just back to work for us, only 80 more days of school for Elisha (she's not excited at all) and then hopefully if all goes as planned we'll take a quick trip to San Diego in June for a wedding, then head to the Dominican Republic for a month or so with a stop in Arizona on the way home to see Elisha's new niece or nephew, so the summer plans are already being made in our house!  I hope I haven't bored ya'll too much... we're still living in Orem with Eli's parents, so if your in the neighborhood we should get together.  We're always looking for fun things to do as we are afraid we might be becoming 'boring married people'.... Hope everyone is doing great!

The Honeymoon...

Ok so I am still learning with this whole blog thing and I always spend forever lining the pictures up exactly how i want them, then when I post it they get all messed up... oh well! So anyway, after the San Diego Reception we stayed the night in a hotel, then headed to Las Vegas. We spent a few days in Vegas and enjoyed going to the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, Lance Burton show, dinner at the Luxor buffet, and relaxing at our hotel. Poor Eli experienced what 'real' married life is like as I was sick and slept for 14 hours one of the nights we were there.... but needless to say we got some needed R&R and enjoyed our time there..

The Big Day!

I know that this post is LONG awaited by many, sorry it's taken me so long.  I have been busy trying to get back into the swing of things and get my second graders where they should be...maybe I should teach Eli how to do the blog, but I LOVE doing it so the posts will just take a little longer to appear...On October 18, 2008 Elin and I entered into the sacred covenant of eternal marriage in the San Diego Temple.  It was the best day of both of our lives so far! The ceremony was amazing and we had the great opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends.  The funniest thing to me was that we both expected I would be crying the entire time being that that happens often with me, but to our shock I was completely calm and Eli was the nervous one, but that's just fine... After the ceremony we were joined by even more family and friends and took lots of pictures to capture every moment possible. Although the sun was a little bright, the weather was beautiful and warm! In the afternoon, we enjoyed food and conversation at my parents house, then it was off to the chapel for the reception. Thanks to the wonderful planning of my mom and help of many family and friends everything went smoothly and we all enjoyed the night.  Something that is really fun now is to look back and laugh at all the stressful moments and freak outs.  But for now we'll get on to the pictures and I'll share more stories later...
